CNC Machinist

Our CNC Machinists use various tools and CNC machines to produce machined parts. Candidates should have experience setting up and operating CNC machines, including lathes, mills, or grinders, and be proficient using precision measuring instruments and machining software. They must possess excellent problem-solving skills and be able to troubleshoot issues related to tooling, machining processes, and equipment. Attention to detail and adherence to quality standards are crucial. Effective communication and teamwork abilities are desired, as CNC Machinists often collaborate with engineers and other team members.

Examples of additional of possible job duties:

Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, specifications, and machining parameters; interprets geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
Plans stock inventory by checking stock to determine amount available; anticipates needed stock; places and expedites orders for stock; verifying receipt of stock
Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, calculates requirements using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; provides part programs, then sets up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting attachments
Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position, and verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adheres to international standards
Maintains specifications by observing operations; detects malfunctions; troubleshoots processes; adjusts and reprograms controls; sharpens and replaces worn tools; adheres to quality assurance procedures and processes
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; follows manufacturer’s instructions; calls for repairs
Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
Documents actions by completing production and quality logs
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications
Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

We have 8 and 12-hour shifts available for day and night. Pay range is determined by experience.
